Well, was able to draw a body today! Or more precisely: Sketched out a couple of concepts, then went copy/pasting in Photoshop. The alternate concept design was the first, but got rejected because, let's face it, it was a godawfull mess of a design. Yuck. Much happier with the second one, and as such threw a couple of quick colors on it too, nothing fancy. Hope you enjoy!
UPDATE: Added an extra colorscheme with a bit more white, after I learned that the Blackbird has a white interior (perfect excuse IMO).
nice, your stuff has come a long way. As for the colors, instead of black, I would like to see a medium grey for 'black' Just so i can see everything.
One other thing that might help with clearer designs is lineweight. Use thicker lines for things in shadow, and the outer most contours of the characters. I also like to use lineweight to seperate parts of the body, like arm joints, and torso joints.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
